Ministry of Education and Training: Determined to Prevent the Spread of Diphtheria in Schools

Recently, the Ministry of Education and Training issued Official Dispatch No. 2497/BGDDT-GDTC to Departments of Education and Training and the Department of Education, Science, and Technology of Bac Lieu regarding the enhancement of diphtheria prevention and control in schools.

In order to proactively control and promptly prevent the diphtheria epidemic, ensuring it does not spread in schools, the Ministry of Education and Training requests that the Departments of Education and Training proactively cooperate with the Departments of Health and relevant local agencies to implement the following measures:

- Strictly implement the contents of Official Telegram 862/CD-TTg regarding strengthening the prevention and control of diphtheria;- Intensify propaganda and education for learners, teachers, staff, and school employees about the causes, consequences, and preventive measures for diphtheria;- Closely monitor and effectively manage the health of learners, teachers, staff, and school employees, early detection of cases, and immediately notify healthcare agencies for examination, ensuring the epidemic does not spread in schools;- Strengthen inspection and supervision, mobilize the participation of the Parents' Representative Committee in monitoring student health care and school sanitation at educational institutions;- ...
