Ministry of Education and Training adjusts the evaluation of teachers according to Standards for the 2019-2020 academic year

Recently, the Ministry of Education and Training issued Official Dispatch No. 1595/BGDDT-NGCBQLGD on guiding the assessment based on Standards and Continuing Professional Development for teachers and managers of preschool and general education institutions.

Due to adjustments in the planning framework for the 2019-2020 school year because of the Covid-19 pandemic, the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) provides the following guidelines for Departments of Education and Training (DOET) to implement the evaluation work according to the Professional Standards for Teachers and Principals for the 2019-2020 school year:

- DOETs will delay the evaluation and reporting of results according to the Standards. The deadline for reporting the summarized evaluation results of teachers and educational institution managers according to the Standards to the MOET is no later than 30 days from the end date of the school year (based on actual time);- DOETs need to guide general education institutions to supplement evidence of the management process, organize online teaching and teaching on television as a basis for evaluating the achieved results of the criteria according to the Standards.

Additionally, in this Official Dispatch, the Ministry also provides detailed guidelines for the regular professional development of teachers and educational institution managers for the 2020-2021 school year.
