On May 09, 2018, the Minister of Public Security issued Circular 13/2018/TT-BCA stipulating the requirements for facilities, equipment, and minimum means of assessment for public judicial examination organizations in the field of forensic technology.

The minimum area for the departments serving the examination work for the Provincial Police Forensic Science Departments and the Ministry of National Defense Forensic Science Departments is specifically stipulated as follows:

- Room for placing examination equipment (machine room): 24 m²;- Laboratory: 16 m²;- Examination records storage: 24 m²;- Post-examination drug storage: 16 m².
