On November 3, 2019, the Ministry of National Defense issued Circular 164/2019/TT-BQP stipulating the standards, quantities, meal allowances, and regular supplementary medicine allowances for coaches, athletes, and physical education and sports teachers in the Army.

To be specific, standards, quantities, meal allowances, and regular dietary supplements applicable to coaches, athletes, and physical education teachers managed by the Army; Coaches and athletes of the Army's military shooting team are stipulated in the Appendix issued together with Circular 164/2019/TT-BQP as follows:

- Meal allowances and regular dietary supplements are stipulated in Appendix I.- Standards and regular food quantities are stipulated in Appendix II.

Meal allowances are uniformly calculated based on the price of 8-fragrant rice at 21,000 VND/kg. If entitled to various meal allowances and dietary supplements at the same time, only the highest meal allowance and dietary supplement will be applied.
