Methods of Determining the Protection Corridor for Surveying Infrastructure Works

the Government of Vietnam has just issued Decree 27/2019/ND-CP providing guidance on the implementation of the 2018 Law on Surveying and Mapping.

Depending on the type of infrastructure, be it basic or specialized measurement facilities, the protection corridor will be established with different radii. To be specific:

- For survey markers in the national coordinate network, specialized base coordinate network, the protection corridor has a radius of 50 meters from the marker center;- For survey markers in the national elevation network, specialized base elevation network, the protection corridor has a radius of 20 meters from the marker center;- For survey markers in the national gravity network, specialized base gravity network, the protection corridor has a radius of 10 meters from the marker center;- For satellite positioning stations, the protection corridor has a radius of 50 meters from the center of the satellite signal receiving antenna;- For remote sensing data collection stations, the protection corridor is regulated by the Decree on remote sensing activities.
