Method for Evaluating and Classifying the Level of Covid-19 Safety in Schools

The Ministry of Education and Training has just issued Official Dispatch No. 1467/BGDDT-GDTC regarding the set of criteria for assessing the level of safety in Covid-19 prevention and control in schools.

The level of safety in Covid-19 prevention and control in schools is evaluated according to each criterion; criteria are met when and only when all the elements of the criterion are met.

The level of safety is classified as follows:

- If 11 or more criteria are met, including criteria 4, 5, 10, and 11 assessed at the satisfactory level, the school is rated: Well implemented, safe school. Recommendation: Regularly inspect to maintain the satisfactory criteria;- If 8 to 10 criteria are met, including criteria 4, 5, 10, and 11 assessed at the satisfactory level, the school is rated: Fairly implemented, safe school, allowed to operate and for students to return to school, but must conduct periodic checks to address deficiencies in unmet criteria;- If 7 or fewer criteria are met, the school is rated: Not well implemented, unsafe school, and not allowed to operate.
