On May 16, 2022, the Department of Preventive Medicine issued Official Letter 498/DP-DT on prevention and control of COVID-19 for people entering Vietnam.
Accordingly, measures to prevent Covid-19 in Vietnam for people entering Vietnam include:
- Strictly comply with the guiding documents and instructions of the Government and the Ministry of Health of Vietnam on the prevention and control of COVID-19 with people entering the country such as:
+ Dispatch 416/CD-TTg dated May 13, 2022;
+ Official Letter 2118/BYT-DP dated April 26, 2022;
+ Official Letter 2213/BYT-DP dated April 29, 2022.
- Continue to maintain surveillance activities, early detection and timely investigation and handling of COVID-19 outbreaks, especially new and unusual outbreaks (scope, spread rate, number of cases, rates of severe disease, death, new variant...) are related to people entering the country in Vietnam.
- Actively update epidemic information and carry out communication activities on COVID-19 prevention and control in accordance with the current epidemic situation.
Note the communication at the border gate in many forms and languages suitable for different audiences according to specific types of border gates.
- Regularly check and promptly handle arising problems or report and discuss with the Department of Preventive Medicine to jointly solve and remove according to competence.
