Circular 49/2017/TT-BCA stipulating detailed policies on allowances for forensic examiners in the field of criminal technical examination; the composition and number of personnel performing tasks when conducting examinations, autopsies, and exhumations of corpses.
A forensic technical examiner is entitled to a maximum allowance of 500,000 VND/day when performing the following tasks:
- Examination of fires, explosions; narcotics; DNA.- Examination of characters embossed on erased, altered, or re-sealed materials.- Examination of fingerprints using methods such as glue fuming, Ninhydrin, Iodine, small particles, Amilo Black to detect traces.- Forensic chemical examination requiring the use of hazardous chemicals listed in the Decree 108/2008/ND-CP and Decree 26/2011/ND-CP.- Examination of blood, semen when the subject is infected with HIV/AIDS or carries a particularly dangerous infectious disease included in group A according to the Law on Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases.
Depending on the specific task, Circular 49 also stipulates other allowance levels of 150,000 or 300,000 VND/day.
