Recently, the Ministry of Health of Vietnam has issued the Circular No. 17/2020/TT-BYT on maximum prices and costs contributing to prices of qualified whole blood units and blood products.
Circular No. 17/2020/TT-BYT of the Ministry of Health of Vietnam provides for the maximum prices of some qualified whole blood units and blood products as follows:
- 30 ml whole blood: Net volume 35 ml, the maximum price is VND 110.000;
- 50 ml whole blood: Net volume 55 ml, the maximum price is VND 158.000;
- 100 ml whole blood: Net volume 115 ml, the maximum price is VND 292.000;
- 150 ml whole blood: Net volume 170 ml, the maximum price is VND 421.000;
- 200 ml whole blood: Net volume 225 ml, the maximum price is VND 510.000;

A blood unit is considered qualified when it is collected and preserved in a plastic bag containing an anticoagulant and has undergone all mandatory screening tests according to regulations in Circular No. 26/2013/TT-BYT of the Ministry of Health of Vietnam.
