Many Business Conditions Will Be Abolished in 2018

the Government of Vietnam has just issued Resolution 19/2018/NQ-CP on the continued implementation of key tasks and solutions to improve the business environment and enhance national competitiveness. Notably, it includes proposals to simplify business procedures.

The resolution assigned specific targets for Ministries and sectors to be implemented starting in 2018 to create a favorable business environment. To be specific:

- Abolish and simplify 50% of the investment and business conditions and certain conditional business lines;- Reduce by at least 50% the list of goods and products subject to specialized inspection within 2018;- Reduce by at least 50% the cost of business information disclosure;- Reduce the tax filing time to 119 hours;- Reduce transportation costs, emphasizing the reduction of BOT fees and the implementation of automated BOT fee collection.
