Mandatory Contract Appendix Signature When Providing Legal Aid

This is an important content mentioned in Circular 08/2017/TT-BTP detailing certain provisions of the Law on Legal Aid and guiding documentation in legal aid activities.

To be specific, before performing a legal aid case, the organization and the Department of Justice, individuals, and the Legal Aid Center must sign an Appendix to the contract.

The Appendix to the contract is an inseparable part of the legal aid contract and must include the following main contents:

- Legal aid beneficiary;- Legal aid case;- Main tasks to be carried out.

At the same time, Circular 08 also stipulates that the duration of the legal aid contract can be agreed upon by the parties; however, the maximum duration is not to exceed 3 years.

The contract can be extended once, not exceeding 3 years, depending on the local legal aid needs.
