Lists of drugs and medicinal ingredients subject to special control in Vietnam

The Ministry of Health of Vietnam issued Circular No. 20/2017/TT-BYT elaboratingLaw on Pharmacy and Decree No. 54/2017/NĐ-CP on drugs and medicinal ingredients subject to special control.

Lists of drugs and medicinal ingredients subject to special control provided by Circular No. 20/2017/TT-BYT of the Ministry of Health of Vietnam include:

- The List of 43 narcotic active ingredients in Appendix I hereof;

- The List of 70 psychotropic active ingredients in Appendix II hereof;

- The List of 8 drug precursors in Appendix III hereof;

- The List of drugs and active ingredients banned from certain fields in Appendix VII hereof.

- Maximum permissible concentrations of narcotic active ingredients in combined drugs in Appendix IV hereof; Maximum permissible concentrations of psychotropic active ingredients in combined drugs in Appendix V hereof; Maximum permissible concentrations of drug precursors in combined drugs in Appendix VI hereof.

Moreover, Circular No. 20/2017/TT-BYT also stipulates storage, production, concoction, dispensing, use, destruction, delivery, transport, reporting of drugs and medicinal ingredients subject to special control.
