List of Vietnamese manufactured machinery, equipment and means of transport

On August 17, 2021, the Ministry of Planning and Investment of Vietnam issued Circular 05/2021/TT-BKHĐT on the list of machinery, equipment, spare parts, specialized means of transport, raw materials, supplies and semi-finished products that can be produced domestically.

Issued together with Vietnam's Circular 05/2021/TT-BKHDT is 09 Lists of domestic machinery, equipment, and means of transport. For example:

(1) List of special-use means of transport that can be produced domestically (Appendix I);

(2) List of machinery, equipment and technological lines that can be produced domestically (Appendix II);

(3) List of auto parts and accessories that can be produced domestically (Appendix V);

(4) List of plant varieties, livestock, aquatic products, fertilizers, animal feeds, veterinary drugs, and pesticides that can be produced domestically (Appendix IX);...

Note: The lists of goods specified in this Circular 05/2021 are the basis for determining the objects not subject to value-added tax and the subjects exempt from import tax according to the provisions of tax law and do not include most other domestically produced goods that are circulated in Vietnam and international markets but not yet specified in this Circular.

More details can be found in Vietnam's Circular 05/2021/TT-BKHDT which takes effect from October 2, 2021 and replaces Circular 01/2018/TT-BKHDT.
