List of techniques and economic-technical characteristics in medical examination and treatment in Vietnam from October 18, 2024

The list of techniques and economic - technical characteristics in medical examination and treatment in Vietnam is as follows:

- Issued together with Circular 23/2024/TT-BYT:

+ The list of techniques in medical examination and treatment to be implemented until June 30, 2026, is specified in Appendix No. 01 issued with Circular 23/2024/TT-BYT;

+ The list of techniques in medical examination and treatment to be implemented from July 1, 2026, is specified in Appendix No. 02 issued with Circular 23/2024/TT-BYT.

- Economic - technical characteristics of technical services in medical examination and treatment are determined by specialty as specified in the appendices above.

- A technique specified in Appendix No. 01 issued with Circular 23/2024/TT-BYT is arranged in the most appropriate specialty or subspecialty but can be utilized in many different specialties, subspecialties.

- The techniques specified in Appendix No. 02 issued with Circular 23/2024/TT-BYT are organized according to the body's organ systems and anatomical structures.

The techniques specified in Appendix No. 01 issued with Circular 23/2024/TT-BYT have been classified as surgeries, procedures per the regulations in Circular 50/2014/TT-BYT specifying the classification of surgeries, procedures, and manpower norms in each surgery, procedure case shall continue to apply this classification level.

Individuals granted a practice certificate or practice license before the effective date of Circular 23/2024/TT-BYT are allowed to continue performing techniques approved as stipulated in Circular 32/2023/TT-BYT, specifying details of certain articles of the Law on Medical Examination and Treatment and the techniques in the List of Techniques issued with Circular 23/2024/TT-BYT within the scope of their practice.

Medical examination and treatment facilities granted an operation license by a competent state authority before the effective date of Circular 23/2024/TT-BYT shall continue to carry out approved techniques within the scope of their professional activities until June 30, 2026, without the need to conduct procedures for adjusting the operation license.
