List of plant protection chemicals banned for use in Vietnam from January 30, 2025

The list of plant protection chemicals banned for use in Vietnam is stipulated in Appendix II issued together with Circular 25/2024/TT-BNNPTNT including:

- Insecticides, wood preservatives: 23 active ingredients.

- Fungicides: 06 active ingredients.

- Rodenticides: 01 active ingredient.

- Herbicides: 01 active ingredient.

List of plant protection chemicals permitted for use in Vietnam from January 30, 2025

The list of plant protection chemicals permitted for use in Vietnam is stipulated in Appendix II issued together with Circular 25/2024/TT-BNNPTNT including:

(1) Chemicals used in agriculture:

- Insecticides: 753 active ingredients with 1834 trade names.

- Fungicides: 725 active ingredients with 1676 trade names.

- Herbicides: 273 active ingredients with 853 trade names.

- Rodenticides: 08 active ingredients with 49 trade names.

- Growth regulators: 63 active ingredients with 187 trade names.

- Insect attractants: 08 active ingredients with 08 trade names.

- Molluscicides: 31 active ingredients with 154 trade names.

- Adjuvants (spreading agents): 05 active ingredients with 06 trade names.

(2) Termiticides: 16 active ingredients with 27 trade names.

(3) Wood preservatives: 07 active ingredients with 08 trade names.

(4) Warehouse disinfectants: 03 active ingredients with 10 trade names.

(5) Chemicals used on golf courses:

- Fungicides: 02 active ingredients with 02 trade names.

- Growth regulators: 01 active ingredient with 01 trade name.

(6) Seed treatment chemicals:

- Insecticides: 10 active ingredients with 16 trade names.

- Fungicides: 12 active ingredients with 12 trade names.

(7) Post-harvest agricultural product preservatives

- 01 active ingredient with 01 trade name.

Circular 25/2024/TT-BNNPTNT is effective as of January 30, 2025.
