List of insecticidal and germicidal preparations for household and medical use whose HS codes are identified in Vietnam

According to Circular 16/2024/TT-BYT, the List of insecticidal and germicidal preparations for household and medical use whose HS codes are identified in Vietnam includes:

- Insect-repellent/incense (fragrance) used in households and healthcare.

- Chemical-treated mosquito-repellent mats (electric or non-electric) used in households and healthcare.

- Evaporative insect-repellent solutions (without deodorizing function) used in households and healthcare.

- Insect-repellent sprays used in households and healthcare.

- Insect-repellent products used in households and healthcare in the forms of powder, gel, cream, paint (paint containing insect-repellant active ingredients), and bait.

- Insect-repellent products in the form of lotion, gel, spray, adhesive, and bracelet used on humans.

- Products such as canopies, curtains, hammocks, fabrics, and paper treated with insect-repellant chemicals used in households and healthcare.

- Insecticide spray products used in households and healthcare or for killing insects on airplanes.

- Larvicide products used in households and healthcare.

- Waterless hand sanitizers used in households.

- Bath disinfectant products used in healthcare for patients and healthcare personnel.

- Disinfectant products for instruments, surfaces, and household items.

- Water disinfectant products for household use.

- Skin disinfectant products used in healthcare.

- Surface disinfectant products used in healthcare.

- Aircraft disinfectant products.

* Note: In case legal documents and regulations referred to in Circular 16/2024/TT-BYT are changed, supplemented, or replaced, they shall be applied according to the new legal documents.

More details can be found in Circular 16/2024/TT-BYT which comes into force in Vietnam from November 15, 2024.

Circular 09/2018/TT-BYT issued the List of Insecticidal and Germicidal Chemicals and Preparations for household and medical use which are under the state management of the Ministry of Health and whose HS codes can be identified according to Vietnam’s Nomenclature of Exports and Imports, ceases to be in effect in Vietnam from November 15, 2024.
