List of business types, services generating wastewater managed as domestic wastewater in Vietnam from September 1, 2025

According to the specific regulations set out in Appendix 1 issued with Circular 05/2025/TT-BTNMT, the list of business types and services generating wastewater managed as domestic wastewater includes:

(1) Accommodation and Catering Services

- Hotels

- Villas or apartments providing short-term lodging services

- Guesthouses, motels providing short-term lodging services

- Boarding houses, rented rooms, and similar short-term lodging establishments

- Student dormitories

- Other lodging facilities

- Catering services

(2) Medical and Social Assistance Activities

- Activities of nurturing and nursing facilities

- Healthcare activities for the mentally impaired, mentally ill, and addicts

- Healthcare activities for veterans, the elderly, and persons with disabilities who are unable to care for themselves

- Other centralized care activities

(3) Other Service Activities

- Sauna, massage, and health enhancement services

- Laundry services

- Hairdressing, hair cutting, and shampooing

- Funeral service activities

- Wedding service activities

- Other personal service activities

(4) Other Types (not under Decision 27/2018/QD-TTg)

- Offices, offices, and schools

- Military force camps

- Apartment complexes, tenement houses

- Department stores, supermarkets; food stores

- Parks, amusement parks, entertainment venues, business centers, service centers, markets, train stations, bus stations, ports, ferries, and other public areas

- Other types (similar in nature from serial number 01 to 22 in Appendix 1 issued with Circular 05/2025/TT-BTNMT)

Note: The types of business and services are classified according to the Economic Sector Code specified in Decision 27/2018/QD-TTg issued by the Prime Minister of the Government of Vietnam on the issuance of the Vietnamese Economic Sector Classification.
