The Ministry of Health has just signed Decision 3148/QD-BYT, issued together with a List of 65 testing techniques (TT) applied for interoperability, recognition of testing results at medical examination and treatment facilities, and medical facilities that perform testing.

In the document, there are 22 hematology test techniques, 17 biochemistry test techniques, and 26 microbiology test techniques.

According to Decision 3148:

- Laboratories that have been evaluated and declared to meet quality standards from level 1 upwards according to Decision 2429/QD-BYT dated June 12, 2017, are to interconnect and recognize results based on the following principles:- Mutual recognition of results between laboratories of the same quality level;- Laboratories at a lower quality level recognize the results of laboratories with a higher quality level.- For laboratories that have achieved ISO 15189, result interconnection and recognition apply only to tests listed and recognized for quality.- The clinical doctor is the one who decides to use interconnected test results or request retests depending on the patient's pathological condition and clinical progress.

Decision 3148/QD-BYT took effect from July 7, 2017.
