The Minister of Health of Vietnam issued Circular 16/2022/TT-BYT dated December 30, 2022 on the list of precious, rare and endemic medicinal herbs and species that must be controlled.
According to Vietnam's Circular 16/2022/TT-BYT, precious and rare medicinal herbs and species are medicinal herbs of special value in terms of science, health, economy, ecology, landscape, environment, or culture - history but the quantity is small or threatened with extinction.
Endemic species and species of medicinal herbs are medicinal herbs that only exist and grow within a narrow distribution range and are limited to a certain territory in Vietnam but have not been recorded in other parts of the world.
The list of precious, rare, and endemic medicinal herbs and species subject to control is specified in the Appendix issued together with Circular 16/2022/TT-BYT, including:

Vietnam's Circular 16/2022/TT-BYT takes effect from February 18, 2022.
