List of 2,027 villages with special difficulties in the period of 2021-2025 (available)

On June 18, 2021, the Committee for Ethnic Minority Affairs of Vietnam issued Decision 433/QD-UBDT approving the list of 2,027 villages with special difficulties in ethnic minority and mountainous areas in the 2021-2025 period.

The Decision approved the list of 2,027 villages with special difficulties in ethnic minority and mountainous areas of 40 provinces and municipalities in Vietnam.

According to the Decision, the approved list of 2,027 villages with special disadvantages in ethnic minority and mountainous areas of 40 provinces and municipalities in Vietnam includes:

- Quang Ninh: 12 villages;

- Ha Giang: 81 villages;

- Cao Bang: 47 villages;

- Bac Kan: 65 villages;

- Tuyen Quang: 120 villages;

- Lao Cai: 130 villages;

- Khanh Hoa: 10 villages;

- Binh Thuan: 10 villages;

- Lam Dong: 49 villages;

- Binh Phuoc: 25 villages;...

In the course of implementation, if there is a division, merger, dissolution, or name change, the Provincial People's Committee shall direct the relevant departments and branches to review, determine according to the criteria, and make a dossier as prescribed in Clause 1 of Article of Vietnam's Decision 33/2020/QD-TTg; send it to the Committee for Ethnic Minority Affairs of Vietnam to summarize, appraise, and decide on adjustments and supplements.

Vietnam's Decision 433/QD-UBDT takes effect from June 18, 2021.
