Level of support for private preschool teachers facing difficulties due to Covid-19 in Vietnam

The Prime Minister of Vietnam has just issued Decision 24/2022/QD-TTg on the implementation of policies to support administrators, teachers, and staff in non-public preschool and primary education institutions facing difficulties due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to Vietnam's Decision 24/2022/QD-TTg, the level of support for private preschool teachers facing difficulties due to COVID-19 is as follows:

- VND 3,700,000 lump-sum assistance per person, applicable to:

Managers, teachers, and employees who have not yet received support from local policies for groups of employees who do not have labor contracts and a number of other specific subjects as prescribed in Clause 12 and Section II of Vietnam's Resolution 68/NQ-CP in 2021

- VND 2,200,000 lump-sum assistance per person is available for:

Managers, teachers, and employees have been entitled to local policies as prescribed in Clause 12 and Section II of Vietnam's Resolution 68/NQ-CP in 2021.

(In which Clause 12 of Section II of Vietnam's Resolution 68/NQ-CP in 2021 provides support for employees without labor contracts (freelance workers) as well as a number of other specific subjects, as follows:

Based on the specific conditions and budget capacity of the locality, the provinces and cities shall develop criteria, determine the beneficiaries, and determine the support amount (but the support level is not lower than 1,500,000 VND/person/time or 50,000 VND/person/day based on the actual number of days of suspension at the request of the locality).

Note: Commune-level people's committees and district-level education and training departments will receive support requests until the end of December 31, 2022.
