Level of support for ethnic minority women to give birth

The Ministry of Finance promulgates Circular 15/2022/TT-BTC providing for the management and use of non-business funds for the implementation of the national target program for socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas. period 2021-2030, phase I: from 2021 to 2025.

Accordingly, the level of support according to the contract method for mothers to give birth safely and take care at home after giving birth in provinces with a large number of ethnic minorities and with a higher home birth rate than the national average is regulated. nationwide (excluding services paid for by the health insurance fund):

+ Support for travel expenses for the mother and 01 family member to take care of her when giving birth at a medical facility: 100,000 VND/person;

+ Support package of delivery care including newborn diapers, sanitary napkins for mothers, diapers, newborn shirts, hats, gloves, baby mittens, baby wipes, blood loss measurement bags at birth : 500,000 VND/pack/person;

+ Food support for mothers and carers: 50,000 VND/day/person (maximum 3 days for normal birth and 5 days for caesarean section);

+ One-time support of food and nutrition for nursing mothers in the first 6 months after giving birth: 1,200,000 VND.
