Key tasks and solutions for the 2024 - 2025 school year in Vietnam

According to Section II of the Plan issued together with Decision 2236/QD-BGDDT dated August 23, 2024, the Minister of Education of Vietnam sets out the following key tasks and solutions:

- Continue to improve the institutional framework, enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of state management in education

- Ensure equity in access to education for all subjects, with particular attention to ethnic minorities, people living in mountainous areas, regions with especially difficult socio-economic conditions, disadvantaged coastal and island areas, orphans, abandoned children, persons with disabilities, and individuals from poor and near-poor households

- Improve the quality of early childhood education, general education, and continuing education

- Develop a team of teachers, lecturers, and educational management staff with sufficient quantity and enhanced quality to meet the demands of educational and training reforms

- Utilize state budget effectively and mobilize investment resources for education

- Strengthen political and ideological education, national defense and security education, as well as physical education and school health

- Enhance the quality of human resource training, especially high-quality human resources linked to scientific research and innovative creativity

- Boost international integration in education

- Accelerate digital transformation and administrative reform across the entire sector

- Strengthen inspection, supervision, and violation handling in the field of education and training

- Enhance educational communication

- Effectively implement emulation movements throughout the sector

More details can be found in Decision 2236/QD-BGDDT, which comes into force in Vietnam from August 23, 2024.
