Key administrative procedure reform plan for 2024 in Vietnam

The objectives of the Key administrative procedure reform plan for 2024 in Vietnam are as follows:

- Promote the implementation of administrative procedure reform based on documents, programs, plans, and projects issued by the Government and the Prime Minister, ensuring effective implementation and achieving the objectives, tasks, and solutions set for 2024.

- Continue to reduce and simplify administrative procedures and regulations related to business activities, with a focus on reducing business-related licenses and simplifying regulations and procedures related to criminal records.

- Accelerate the process of amending and supplementing legal normative documents to implement the plan to reduce and simplify business regulations, administrative procedures, and citizenship documents related to population management and decentralized handling of administrative procedures approved by the Government and the Prime Minister.

- Apply advanced international methods to pilot and implement certain tasks of administrative procedure reform in 2024, creating momentum for replication and implementation in 2025 and the following phases.

- Rectify discipline and administrative principles, promptly address existing limitations and weaknesses in the performance of public duties; improve the quality of administrative procedure settlement for citizens and businesses by officials and civil servants of ministries, sectors, and localities.

- Continue to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of state management, legal regulations regarding administrative procedure reform, and compliance by organizations and individuals.

In addition, in order to focus on implementing the tasks of administrative procedure reform, and to achieve the objectives and targets assigned by the Government and the Prime Minister in 2024, the Plan sets out the following two key tasks:

- Reforming administrative procedures and business regulations.

- Innovating the implementation and settlement of administrative procedures, providing public services for citizens and businesses.
