It is best that each isolation room has a private toilet and bathroom

This is the notable content of Official Dispatch 1769/BYT-KH-TC on the guidance of standards and norms for isolation beds at centralized isolation facilities for COVID-19 prevention and control.

To be specific, according to this Official Dispatch, each province or centrally-governed city may have one or more centralized quarantine facilities for COVID-19 disease prevention, with the standards for each quarantine facility as follows:

- Quarantine Area Dimensions: the number of beds x The distance between beds must be at least 2 meters, or: The bed and the surrounding area must ensure a space of 4 square meters per person (based on the Vietnamese Standard TCVN 4451:2012 as stipulated in clause 1, Article 69 of the Law on Standards and Technical Regulations and point b, clause 1, Article 6 of Decree 127/2007/ND-CP);- Facilities for showers and toilets in the quarantine area: Ideally, each quarantine room should have its own toilet and shower. In the event that a quarantine room does not have its own toilet and shower, a separate area for bathrooms and showers must be arranged in the quarantine section ensuring: separate facilities for men and women, and a minimum of 1 shower and 1 toilet for every 10 people.
