The Minister of Education and Training issued Decision 2139/QD-BGDDT dated August 14, 2024, on the implementation plan for the National target program on socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas by 2025 in Vietnam.
According to the implementation plan for the National target program on socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas by 2025 in Vietnam, issued under Decision 2139/QD-BGDDT dated August 14, 2024, the implementation contents are as follows:
* Sub-project 2 - Project 4: Investment in infrastructure for public service providers operating in the field of ethnic affairs
- Task content 1: Investment project for the construction of the Pharmacy Department - Tay Nguyen University (with a development orientation to become Tay Nguyen University of Medicine and Pharmacy).
- Task content 2: Investment project for the construction of facilities and equipment to support teaching and learning activities at Tay Bac University.
- Task content 3: Investment project for the construction of facilities and enhancement of equipment to support teaching and learning at Friendship School 80.
- Task content 4: Investment project for facilities, improving training quality at Friendship School T78.
* Sub-project 1 - Project 5: Reform activities, consolidate and develop ethnic boarding schools, semi-boarding ethnic schools, and schools with semi-boarding students and literacy eradication for ethnic minority people
- Task content 1: Operational work of the Steering Committee
+ Operate and maintain the regular activities of the Steering Committee;
+ Organize workshops and conferences to summarize the implementation of tasks led by the Ministry of Education and Training, under the National Target Program for Socio-Economic Development in Ethnic Minority and Mountainous Areas, period 2021-2030, phase I: 2021-2025;
+ Organize surveys and evaluations of the implementation of Project 5.1; Project 4.2 in localities as a basis for proposing targets and tasks for the Program for the period 2026-2030;
+ Develop reports related to the management and operation tasks of the Steering Committee.
- Task content 2: Improve the quality of the management staff, teachers (CBQL, GV) of ethnic boarding schools, semi-boarding ethnic schools, and schools with semi-boarding students.
+ Develop materials, print and distribute, digitize materials;
+ Provide training and capacity building for CBQL, GV of ethnic boarding schools, semi-boarding ethnic schools, and schools with semi-boarding students.
- Task content 3: Literacy eradication for people in ethnic minority areas
+ Appraise and complete the assessment toolkit on re-illiteracy in ethnic minority areas and organize the pilot implementation of the toolkit in some localities;
+ Research, evaluate current status, and propose solutions for literacy eradication in villages/hamlets in ethnic minority areas;
+ Train on innovative teaching methods for the literacy eradication program;
+ Train on assessing learners studying the literacy eradication program according to Circular 10/2022/TT-BGDDT;
+ Communicate and propagate about literacy eradication activities for people in ethnic minority areas and activities related to the contents assigned to the Ministry of Education and Training under the Program.
* Project 10: Communication, propaganda, and mobilization in ethnic minority and mountainous areas. Inspection, supervision, evaluation, training, and organization of the Program's implementation
Activity content:
- Inspect, supervise, and guide localities in implementing the contents led by the Ministry of Education and Training in 2025 under the Program.
- Communicate about the contents and tasks led by the Ministry of Education and Training under the Program.
