Issuance of QCVN on national topographic maps at scale 1:250,000 in Vietnam

To issue national technical regulations on national topographic maps at scale 1:250,000, code QCVN 74:2023/BTNMT.

QCVN 74:2023/BTNMT provides technical regulations on the content, symbols, and metadata of national topographic maps at scale 1:250,000 with the following main contents:

(i) Technical regulations, including:

- Mathematical foundations

- Contents of national topographic map at scale 1:250,000:

+ Organize data layer groups of the national topographic map at scale 1:250,000

+ Technical requirements show the content of the national topographic map at a scale of 1:250,000

+ Regulations on the content of national border and administrative boundary data groups

+ Specify the content of the mathematical base data class group

+ Specify the content of the population data layer group

+ Specify the content of terrain data layer groups

+ Specify the content of the traffic data layer group

+ Specify the content of the vegetation cover data layer group

+ Specify the content of hydrological data layer groups

- National topographic map symbol at scale 1:250,000

- National topographic map metadata at scale 1:250,000

(ii) Management regulations, including:

- Conformity assessment method

- Regulations on declaration of conformity

- Test method

QCVN 74:2023/BTNMT applies to management agencies, organizations, and individuals related to the establishment, storage, management, provision, and use of national topographic maps at a scale of 1:250,000.

Circular 11/2023/TT-BTNMT takes effect on March 29, 2024.
