Instructions on salary ranking for professional titles of artists in Vietnam

On October 28, 2022, the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam issued Circular 09/2022/TT-BVHTTDL stipulating codes, standards for professional titles and salary ranking for professional titles of artists.

According to Vietnam's Circular 09/2022/TT-BVHTTDL, the professional titles of artists are applied to Table 3 (the professional and professional salary table for cadres and public employees in non-business units of the state) promulgated together with Vietnam's Decree 204/2004/ND-CP, specifically as follows:

- The professional title of Class I Artist is entitled to a salary coefficient of 6.20 to 8.00;

- The professional title of Class II Artist is entitled to a salary coefficient of 4.40 to 6.78;

- The professional title of Class III Artist is entitled to a salary coefficient of 2.34 to 4.98;

- The professional title of Class IV Artist is entitled to a salary coefficient of 1.86 to 4.06.

Currently, the base salary is 1,490,000 VND.

Thus, the highest salary of the artist title is 11,920,000 VND, and the lowest is 2,771,400 VND.

Vietnam's Circular 09/2022/TT-BVHTTDL takes effect on December 15, 2022, and replaces Vietnam's Joint Circular 07/2016/TTLT-BVHTTDL-BNV.
