Instructions on assigning tasks, booking teacher training in Vietnam

The Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam has Dispatch 1891/BGDĐT-GDĐH dated 11/5/2021 stipulating regulation on task assignment, booking or auctioning teacher training according to social needs specified in Decree 116/2020/ND -CP.

According to the Official Dispatch, guidance on the authority and responsibility to assign tasks, orders, or auctions for teacher training in Vietnam is as follows:

- For the Provincial People's Committee of Vietnam:

+ Identify the need for new teachers, estimate, and allocate funds.

+ Complete task assignments, order training from affiliated training institutions (if any); order or bid on teacher training from other teacher training institutions.

+ Develop a plan and organize the recruitment and use of teachers in accordance with current regulations in Vietnam.

- For teacher training institutions: receive assignments, receive orders to train teachers for the locality, and orders from other localities in accordance with the enrollment quota announced by the Ministry of Education and Training.

- For the Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam: Determine and announce teacher training targets for teacher training institutions.

- For ministries/sectors that have teacher training institutions in Vietnam:

Assume the prime responsibility for, and coordinate with the Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam in directing and guiding affiliated training institutions to make estimates and allocate funds for teacher training and implement other content according to Decree 116.
