The Ministry of Finance issued Circular 24/2018/TT-BTC stipulating the support norms for Laotian and Cambodian students (agreement-based) studying in Vietnam.
To be specific:, officials, Laotian and Cambodian students studying in Vietnam (referred to as overseas students) will receive monthly living allowances as follows:
- Long-term training overseas students at the high school level: 3,080,000 VND/person (currently 2,680,000 VND);- Long-term training overseas students at the university level: 3,630,000 VND/person (currently 3,160,000 VND);- Long-term training overseas students at the postgraduate level: 4,110,000 VND/person (currently 3,580,000 VND);- Short-term training and internship overseas students: 4,820,000 VND/person (currently 4,190,000 VND);- Overseas students learning Vietnamese for high school and university entrance exams: 2,460,000 VND/person (currently 2,140,000 VND);- Overseas students learning Vietnamese for postgraduate entrance exams: 2,900,000 VND/person (currently 2,530,000 VND).
Thus, the monthly living allowance increases range from 320,000 to 630,000 VND.
