Recently, the Office of the Government of Vietnam issued Announcement 337/TB-VPCP on the conclusion of Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc at the meeting of the Standing Government on COVID-19 prevention and control.
After hearing the report of the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control, the opinions of the Deputy Prime Ministers, and the attending delegates, the Prime Minister of Vietnam has given the following directives regarding the resumption of international commercial flights:
- The Prime Minister of Vietnam agrees to resume flights to Thailand. The Ministry of Transport shall direct the increase in the frequency of international commercial flights to bring in experts, investors, high-skilled employees, and their family members for work and repatriate Vietnamese citizens; report to Deputy Prime Minister Pham Binh Minh and Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam to decide on specific flight schedules. Each flight must have a plan to prevent the spread of the disease within the community and take proactive preventive measures;
- The Ministry of Public Security shall take charge of and coordinate with the Ministry of Transport, in directing the rapid clearance of entrants at airport border gates, ensuring there is no prolonged gathering of people when receiving entrants;
- The Ministry of Health shall be responsible for providing Real-time PCR tests to localities and for directing testing at quarantine sites;
