Increase 30% Meat and Fish in the Meals of Pregnant Women in Temporary Detention

This is the notable content mentioned in Decree 120/2017/ND-CP detailing the implementation of several Articles of the Law on Temporary Detention and Custody.

The individuals in temporary custody or detention who are pregnant women or nursing children under 36 months of age will be entitled to the following additional benefits:

- Receive food allowances similar to other detainees, with an additional 30% more in meat and fish rations.- Hospital fees and physical nourishment equivalent to 30kg of medium-grade rice shall be provided when giving birth.

Additionally, Decree 120 also stipulates that children under 36 months old living with their mothers in detention centers will receive care, health insurance cards, vaccination, and some other policies such as:

- On International Children's Day and Mid-Autumn Festival, they will receive food benefits double that of ordinary days.- Besides the daily food allowance, each month they will be provided with milk and essential living necessities worth 20kg of rice.- Funeral cost support will be provided if the child dies in the detention center.
