Incorporation of Human Rights Education in Preschools and General Education Schools

The Prime Minister of the Government of Vietnam has just signed Decision 1309/QD-TTg approving the Scheme to incorporate human rights content into the educational program of the national education system.

Pilot implementation of human rights education content for educational levels and training programs for the period 2017 - 2020 as follows:

- Early childhood and general education (primary, lower secondary, upper secondary): Pilot implementation in 03 provinces and cities representing 03 regions (estimated 02 schools per education level);- Higher education: Pilot implementation for school blocks according to training sector groups (estimated 03 schools per block);- Vocational education: Pilot implementation for school blocks according to training sector and occupation groups (estimated 03 schools per block).

Aim to have 100% of educational institutions within the national education system implement human rights education for learners by 2025.
