According to Directive 20-CT/TW, to improve the quality of research, compilation, dissemination, and education of the Communist Party's history in the upcoming period, the Secretariat disseminates the following key contents to the cell branches:

- Integrate the history content of the Communist Party into the subjects within the national education system such as history and civic education;- Focus on researching and compiling the chronicle of events, documents of the Communist Party, and the international relations of the Communist Party;- Collect historical materials of the Communist Party, including historical materials of the Communist Party abroad and materials through interviews with historical witnesses. Progress towards digitizing all historical materials of the Communist Party;- Diversify methods and forms of propaganda and education on the history of the Communist Party for the younger generation to meet the requirements and tasks in the new situation;- Promote international cooperation in researching and collecting historical materials of the Communist Party abroad and of some ruling Communist Parties around the world.
