This is notable information that benefits import-export enterprises mentioned in Resolution 19-2018/NQ-CP regarding the continued implementation of key tasks and solutions to improve the business environment, enhance national competitiveness in 2018 and the following years.

The General Department of Customs compiles a list of goods subject to specialized inspection by the Ministries, based on which it recommends reducing the number of specialized inspection items.

The Ministries will reduce at least 50% of the list of goods and products subject to specialized inspection in each sector within the year 2018. The reduced list of goods will be accompanied by corresponding HS codes in accordance with the Circular 65/2017/TT-BTC.

At the same time, the management method must be reformed from primarily pre-inspection to primarily post-inspection, applying risk management principles, evaluating the level of legal compliance of organizations and individuals, and eliminating inspection for each shipment, except for quarantine.

More details can be found in Resolution 19-2018/NQ-CP issued on May 15, 2018.
