Improvement of the effectiveness of information dissemination and communication in border provinces of Vietnam

The Prime Minister of the Government of Vietnam has approved the Scheme "Supporting Information and Propaganda on National Defense, Security, Ethnic Affairs, and Ethnic Policies in border provinces of Vietnam" (the Scheme) with the following overall objectives:

To create a strong transformation in the quality and effectiveness of information and propaganda in border provinces; contribute to building the people's national defense, people's security, people's border defense, the people's national defense position, the people's security position, maintain the ideological battlefield of the Communist Party, strengthen the great national unity bloc, ensure national defense, security stability, build peaceful, friendly, and developing border lines, create conditions and motivation to promote socio-economic development, improve people's living standards, firmly protect the Fatherland in the new situation.

Concurrently, the viewpoints presented are as follows:

- Thoroughly grasp and strictly implement the policies and guidelines of the Communist Party, the policies, and laws of the State on military, national defense, security, the requirements, and tasks of protecting the Fatherland in the new situation.

- Supporting information and propaganda on national defense, security, ethnic affairs, and ethnic policies (information and propaganda) is an important, urgent task that must be conducted regularly and closely combined in a unified whole.

- Support for information and propaganda must be practical, contributing to the building of the people's national defense, the people's national defense position, the people's security position, strengthening the great national unity bloc, ensuring national defense, security stability, promoting socio-economic development in border provinces.

- Support for information and propaganda must ensure it is focused, targeted, prompt, effective, close to practical situations, avoiding overlap, duplication, and waste of state investment resources.

- Maximize the synergistic strength of all levels, sectors, and forces, with the core being military and police units stationed and performing tasks in border provinces; maximize mobilization and effective use of resources in supporting information and propaganda.

- Closely coordinate effectively among levels, sectors, and forces in supporting information and propaganda; ensure linkage, synchronization, and unity with related schemes and programs.
