Recently, the Prime Minister of the Government of Vietnam signed and approved Resolution 104/NQ-CP. The document's contents unify the approval of various policies on Education; tariffs; the draft Law on Alcohol Harm Prevention; the plan to amend the Law on Criminal Judgment Execution; and the amendment of several provisions in the Decrees related to the field of construction investment.
In the Resolution, there are a few key points to note as follows:
- Exemption of tuition fees for 5-year-old kindergarten children and public lower secondary school students, a policy of supporting tuition fees for non-public institutions, and upgrading the qualifications of kindergarten teachers from intermediate to college level;- Allowing enterprises in Lao Bao Commercial Economic Zone and Cau Treo International Border Gate Economic Zone to be exempt from import tax on imported cars;- Not establishing a fund for the prevention of alcohol abuse;- Perfecting the draft Decree amending the Decree 77/2015/ND-CP, Decree 136/2015/ND-CP, Decree 161/2016/ND-CP on investment in construction and public investment.
