In accordance with Directive 16/CT-TTg on implementing urgent measures for the prevention and control of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Ministry of Health requires localities and units to implement remote medical consultation and treatment activities through the application of information technology for healthcare consultation and treatment to the people anytime, anywhere. Specifically:

- Medical facilities should enhance remote medical consultation and treatment, home-based medical treatment; higher-level medical facilities are responsible for assisting lower-level medical facilities and providing consultation support to the people in the area;- Medical facilities should continue using the software already in use by the units or use platforms of information technology applications as guided by the Ministry of Information and Communications and the Ministry of Health. The implementation must ensure compliance with the Law on Medical Examination and Treatment and other relevant regulations. Ensure the safety and confidentiality of patient and public information in accordance with the law.
