Implementation of regulations on declaration of prices of milk and functional foods for children under 06 years of age in Vietnam under the Price Law 2023

According to Official Dispatch 4923/BYT-ATTP dated August 21, 2024, regulations on price declaration and the application of price declaration according to the Price Law 2023:

- Regarding the agency receiving the price declaration dossiers in Vietnam: The Provincial People's Committee receives the price declarations for milk and functional foods for children under 06 years of age submitted by businesses dealing in milk and functional foods for children under 06 years of age within the province, city.

- Regarding the subjects of price declaration: Businesses dealing in milk and functional foods within the province, city listed in the price declaration list issued by the Provincial People's Committee must declare prices according to regulations.

- Regarding the list of milk and functional foods for children under 06 years of age subject to price declaration in Vietnam:

+ Implementing the regulations in Circular 22/2018/TT-BYT which stipulates the list of functional foods for children under 06 years of age subject to price declaration, and Circular 30/2013/TT-BYT which issues the list of milk for children under 06 years of age subject to price stabilization. The Food Safety Department has publicly announced the list of milk and functional food products for children under 06 years of age on the Food Safety Department’s official website (link: https://vfa.gov.vn/tin-tuc).

+ To update the list of milk and functional foods for children under 06 years of age subject to price declaration under the Price Law 2023 and Decree 85/2024/ND-CP; the Ministry of Health is currently developing a Circular to issue the list of milk and functional foods for children under 06 years of age subject to price declaration. Once the Circular takes effect in Vietnam, units will declare prices for milk and functional foods for children under 6 years of age according to the list issued with this Circular.
