The Ministry of Industry and Trade has just issued Official Dispatch 2698/BCT-DTDL to the Departments of Industry and Trade of provinces and centrally governed cities, and to Vietnam Electricity (EVN), regarding support for reducing electricity prices and electricity bills for customers affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade provides guidance on the implementation of electricity price reduction for 03 months (April, May, and June) for the following customer groups:
- Retail electricity prices for production and business sectors: 10% reduction of the retail price as stipulated in Decision 648/QD-BCT;- Retail electricity prices for residential customers: 10% reduction of the retail electricity prices for tiers 1 to 4 as stipulated in Decision 648/QD-BCT;- Customers who are tourist accommodation establishments: Retail electricity prices for business will be reduced to the level of retail electricity prices for production sectors after the reduction;- As for wholesale electricity prices for rural areas; wholesale electricity prices for collective living quarters, residential clusters; wholesale electricity prices for commercial, service - residential complexes: 10% reduction of wholesale electricity prices for tiers 1 to 4 of residential prices; 10% reduction of wholesale electricity prices for other purposes as stipulated in Decision 648/QD-BCT;- …
