HCM City: To suspend the issuance of Citizen identity cards with chip from May 31, 2021

Dispatch 1749/UBND-VX dated May 30, 2021 stipulates the implementation of enhanced measures to control the Covid-19 epidemic in the area of Ho Chi Minh City.

According to the Official Dispatch in Vietnam, in addition to the types of services that are temporarily suspended under Official Dispatch 1641/UBND-VX and Official Dispatch1737/UBND-VX, the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City requires:

- Suspend operation of the following facilities/activities in Vietnam: 

  • Shopping malls; electric appliance supermarkets; prize-winning electronic game and casino businesses (in hotels); cosmetic treatments in hospitals, polyclinics and specialized clinics.
  • Suspend all religious rites and celebrations in religious and folk religion establishments and places of worship.
  • Suspend identity card issuance procedures citywide.

- Postpone the 10th grade entrance examination in Vietnam until further notice.
