Hanoi-Vietnam: Pre-job assignment health check-up for employees

This is the content mentioned in Circular 28/2016/TT-BYT guiding the management of occupational diseases in Vietnam. To be specific:

- Organize health check-ups for employees before assigning them to work and before transferring them to heavier, more hazardous, or dangerous jobs, or after they have recovered from occupational accidents or diseases and are returning to work, except in cases where they have been assessed for decreased labor capacity;

- Pre-job assignment health check-up records for employees in Vietnam include:

+ Recommendation letter from the employer according to the Form (Appendix 1);

In case the employee has many employees subject to pre-job assignment health check-ups, the employer shall make a list and fill in information about the job, the position to be assigned, and harmful factors at the workplace to be sent along with the recommendation letter.

+ Health certificate made in Form specified in Appendix 2.

Circular 28/2016/TT-BYT comes into effect from August 15, 2016, replacing Joint Circular 08/1998/TTLT-BYT-BLDTBXH and Circular 12/2006/TT-BYT.
