Recently, the Vietnam National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control issued Official Dispatch 3949/CV-BCĐ regarding the enhancement of COVID-19 prevention and control measures for experts entering Vietnam for work.
The Vietnam National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control requires experts to undergo tests for SARS-CoV-2 before entering Vietnam. The Vietnam National Steering Committee proposes that Ministries, Central authorities, and People's Committees of provinces and cities notify units inviting experts to work to meet the following requirements:
- Experts must undergo tests for SARS-CoV-2 using Real-time PCR technique within 03 to 07 days before the date of entry into Vietnam. SARS-CoV-2 testing must be conducted at laboratories approved by the Government of Vietnam or at laboratories in the World Health Organization system.
- Experts have international health insurance or the inviting agency or organization commits to covering the treatment costs in case of contracting COVID-19
- The unit inviting experts is responsible for ensuring the safety of COVID-19 prevention and control when inviting experts to work.
Note: This Official Dispatch does not apply to experts who already have tickets and will enter Vietnam before August 5, 2020.
