Guidelines on the Number of Specialized Courts in Local Courts

The Supreme People's Court has just issued Official Dispatch No. 26/TANDTC-TCCB to the People's Courts of provinces and centrally run cities regarding comments on the plan to organize specialized courts. To be specific:

For Provincial Courts

- If there are from 11 to 13 judges, 3 specialized courts shall be established: Criminal Court; Civil Court (handling civil cases, family, and juveniles); Administrative Court (handling administrative, economic, and labor cases).- If there are from 14 to 20 judges, 4 specialized courts shall be established: Criminal Court, Civil Court, Family and Juvenile Court, Administrative Court.- If there are 22 or more judges:

- 5 specialized courts shall be established, including: Criminal Court, Civil Court, Family and Juvenile Court, Administrative Court, Economic Court.- Specifically, the courts of Hanoi City, Ho Chi Minh City, Dong Nai, and Binh Duong shall establish all 6 specialized courts.
