The Ministry of Health has just issued Official Dispatch 6358/BYT-BH regarding the guidance for implementing Circular 40/2015/TT-BYT concerning medical examination and treatment (MET) of traditional medicine.

The patient is transferred for medical examination and treatment (KCB) from the commune Health Station to the provincial Traditional Medicine Hospital as follows:

- Transfer from the commune Health Station (technical expertise level 4) to the level III provincial Traditional Medicine Hospital (technical expertise level 3);- Transfer from the commune Health Station (technical expertise level 4) to the level II or level I provincial Traditional Medicine Hospital in cases where the district hospital does not have a Traditional Medicine department.

Medical examination and treatment facilities shall perform patient transfers in accordance with the system of Traditional Medicine medical examination and treatment facilities, shall not hold patients when exceeding the facility’s capacity, and must thoroughly implement regulations on the transfer of Traditional Medicine patients to the entire staff and medical personnel.
