Guidelines for Inspection of Export and Import Goods at Border Gates

Circular 44/2018/TT-BQP amending and supplementing a number of articles of Circular 09/2016/TT-BQP specifying and providing guidance on the implementation of certain provisions of Decree 112/2014/ND-CP on the management of border gates.

Notably, regulations on guiding the implementation of the inspection of import and export goods at border gates are specified as follows:

- For export goods: At Barrier No. 1, the Border Guard checks the documents of individuals and means of transportation that have completed exit procedures. If violations are detected, they will cooperate with Customs to conduct inspections and handle the situation.- For import goods:

- At Barrier No. 1, the Border Guard checks the documents of individuals and means of transportation carrying goods that meet conditions to enter Vietnamese territory and guides the vehicles to the position for Customs inspection;- At Barrier No. 2, the Border Guard checks the entry documents of individuals and means of transportation after completing the entry procedures to Vietnam. If violations are detected, they will cooperate with Customs to conduct inspections and handle the situation.

Circular 44/2018/TT-BQP takes effect from May 10, 2018.
