Recently, the National Steering Committee on Combating Smuggling, Commercial Fraud, and Counterfeit Goods issued Decision 195/QD-BCD389 on the regulations for receiving and handling reports on smuggling, commercial fraud, and counterfeit goods.

In Article 5 of the Regulation issued along with this Decision providing guidance on receiving reports on smuggling, commercial fraud, and counterfeit goods in Vietnam as follows:

- The person receiving reports on smuggling, commercial fraud, and counterfeit goods is responsible for receiving promptly, fully, and accurately the content of the reports;

- For reports not falling under the domain specified in Clause 1, Article 2 of this Regulation, the person receiving the report is responsible for advising and guiding the informant to contact the competent agencies and units for handling as per regulations;

- The person receiving the report has the right to refuse and not process reports of a spurious nature; in foreign languages, using vulgar words, or containing defamatory content, insulting others; harassing phone calls.
