Guidance on the Classification of Solid Waste in Construction Projects

According to the guidelines of the Ministry of Construction in Circular 08/2017/TT-BXD, solid waste generated during the survey and construction of works must be classified immediately at the place of generation in accordance with Clause 1, Article 50 of Decree 38/2015/ND-CP into the following groups:

- Recyclable solid waste;- Solid waste that can be reused immediately on-site or at other construction sites;- Non-recyclable, non-reusable waste that must be landfilled;- Hazardous waste that is separately classified and managed in accordance with Decree 38/2015/ND-CP and related guiding legal documents.

Construction solid waste, once classified, must not be mixed with other waste and must be stored in designated areas, avoiding submersion or runoff from outside, ensuring it does not cause environmental pollution.
