Social Insurance (SI) has issued Official Dispatch 3220/BHXH-CSXH dated August 24, 2016, on the adjustment of retirement pensions, social insurance allowances, and monthly allowances according to Decree 55/2016/ND-CP and the resolution of social insurance policies from May 01, 2016.

Addressing the resolution of social insurance policies effective from May 01, 2016, onwards as follows:

- Sick leave, maternity, convalescence and health restoration benefits are implemented according to Point 1 of Official Dispatch 2917/LD-TBXH-BHXH (Official Dispatch 2917);- Occupational accident, occupational disease benefits are implemented according to Point 2 of Official Dispatch 2917;- Retirement benefits are implemented according to Point 3 of Official Dispatch 2917.

Individuals with a pension lower than 2,000,000 VND/month at the time of commencement will have their pension adjusted according to Point 1.3, Clause 1, Section I of this Official Dispatch.- Monthly allowance for commune-level officers, including:- Commune-level officers awaiting the eligibility age for monthly allowances under Decree 09/1998/ND-CP and Clause 1, Article 38 of Circular 59/2015/TT-BLDTBXH;- Individuals with social insurance participation time under Decree 121/2003/ND-CP; commune-level specialist officials continuing to pay social insurance and commune-level specialist officials under Decree 92/2009/ND-CP.

Additionally, the Official Dispatch provides guidance on adjusting pensions, monthly social insurance benefits.
