Guidance on salary ranking of professional title in acting in Vietnam

On October 28, 2022, the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam issued Circular 10/2022/TT-BVHTTDL stipulating codes, standards for professional titles and salary classification of public employees specialized in performing arts and cinema.

According to Circular 10/2022/TT-BVHTTDL, the professional title in acting in Vietnam shall be entitled to the salary rank in Table 3 (Professional and professional salary table for cadres and public employees in state-owned non-business units) issued together with Decree 204/2004/ND-CP, specifically as follows:

- The professional title of a class I acting is entitled to a salary coefficient from 6.20 to 8.00;

- The professional title of a class II acting is entitled to a salary coefficient from 4.0 to 6.38;

- The professional title of a class III acting is entitled to a salary coefficient from 2.34 to 4.98;

- The professional title of a class IV acting is entitled to a salary coefficient from 1.86 to 4.06.

Currently, the base salary in Vietnam is 1,490,000 VND.

Thus, the highest salary of professional title in acting in Vietnam is 11,920,000 VND, and the lowest is 2,771,400 VND.

Circular 10/2022/TT-BVHTTDL takes effect from December 15, 2022 and Joint Circular 10/2015/TTLT-BVHTTDL-BNV.
